Lara moved to the Rogue Valley with her young family about 10 years ago and feels proud to call Medford home. She and her husband Aaron have raised their six children here and they enjoy a lot of the outdoor activities that Southern Oregon has to offer.
Lara feels like her degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is a perfect fit for her. The focus of her Master’s degree from Nova Southeastern University in Florida was in Systems Theory. The approach considers the individual as well as the interpersonal relationships of the individual during the therapeutic process. So she really considers herself a “relationships” therapist since she sees people through the lens of their relationships. Lara thoroughly enjoys family therapy as well as marriage counseling.
Lara believes that everyone has the gifts they need to be successful. She considers that her job as a therapist is to tap into those strengths so that people can make the positive life changes they seek.
